Pedestrian dead, driver sought in Mississauga hit-run

A female is dead and a driver is sought after a hit and run in Mississauga on Thursday morning.

Peel Regional Police say the incident happened at Tomken and Britannia Rds. just after 5:30 a.m.

Cops say the vehicle struck the pedestrian and then fled the scene.

The female was later pronounced deceased. There was no immediate word on her age.

Tomken Rd. is fully closed southbound at Britannia Rd. as the Major Collision Bureau investigates.
