Peel police seize two loaded guns during Brampton traffic stop

Peel police have laid multiple charges after seizing two loaded firearms during during a traffic stop in Brampton.

On Thursday, police made a stop in the area of Kennedy Rd. and Tullamore Ct. looking for criminal activity.

Gabreal Sadiq, 21, from Brampton, has been charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm, careless storage of a firearm, knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm, occupant of a motor vehicle knowing there was a firearm, and possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm.

Romel Daley Rowe, 20, from Brampton, is charged with knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm, and occupant of a motor vehicle knowing there was a firearm.

Benjamin Todd, 26, from Brampton, is charged with knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm, and occupant of a motor vehicle knowing there was a firearm.

“This is another excellent example of the day to day proactive work our officers engage in to ensure our communities are safe and that we address residents’ concerns of violent crime,” said Deputy Chief Marc Andrews.

The investigation is still ongoing.
