Toronto Police officers say they believe there are more witnesses who have not come forward after a nightclub shooting that wounded three people.
Officers were called to Daisy, a cocktail bar on Queen St., near Portland Ave., after gunfire rang out in the club on Sept. 10 at 2.40 a.m.
Three people were hit by bullets inside the club and were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The shooter fled.
Investigators know the club was full and believe there are a number of witnesses who have not yet spoken to police. They urge anyone with information on the shooting to come forward.
The triple shooting was part of a particularly violent weekend in the city with eight shootings, one fatal, having taken place.
Const. Victor Kwong said an appeal for witnesses was issued now that investigators have completed interviews with those that initially came forward.
“Now they want to talk to anyone else with information and broaden their investigation,” he said.
Anyone who was using their cellphone to take pictures or record video that evening is asked to contact police at 416-808-2510.
