When officers showed up, they allegedly found a “suspect hiding inside a closet in possession of a folding knife and a roll of duct tape.”

His vehicle was later found parked nearby.

The Benicia Police Department posted a photo of a dirty work glove, a slightly rusted utility knife and a black roll of duct tape.

“The victim was physically unharmed, and we are providing as much support as possible after this traumatizing incident,” police said.

On the department’s Facebook post, it was asked whether the woman knew her would-be assailant, but police replied: “There does not seem to be any connection between the suspect and the victim.”

Others commented that this isn’t the first time a troubling incident has happened in the area.

“This is terrifying!,” one person wrote. “My friend and I were almost attacked by a man carrying a bat at night on West K street.”

Allison faces multiple charges including first-degree burglary and breaking and entering, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
