LOVE AND KINDNESS

RIP tWitch. I pray that people show others love, humanity, kindness, gentleness, patience, caring and God’s peace and light. I pray during this time of year that can be very lonely for some — that they be shown love and support from their communities and know that God is love.

WORDS AND MEANINGS

What exactly is the City saying when it refers to ‘vacant’ and ‘unoccupied’ in the same breath? They are two different things: Vacant means void of any furniture and solitary for more than 30 days. Unoccupied means temporarily uninhabited but with all habitational facilities and services continuing to apply. Careful, City of Toronto. You may want to review your wordings again.

(It’s a bureaucratic cash grab and an invasion of privacy)

HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?

It boggles my mind that Charles Sousa romped to victory in the recent byelection. I cannot fathom how those who voted Liberal are of the opinion that Trudeau has made their lives better over his tenure. Given our rampant inflation, soaring gas prices, out-of-control grocery prices, higher taxes, increasing carbon taxes (I just paid $50 of carbon tax on my gas bill to heat my home, ugh), and the continual corruption and ethics violations of his government, it is beyond comprehension. Wake up people!

(Memories are short and it is what would be considered a Liberal stronghold)

MAKING A MESS

So, interest rates rising on money already borrowed, suppliers paid at that time. Why do the money changers get to charge more until debt is paid off because of rising BOC rates that did not affect the original purchase agreement? For that matter, why don’t we have mortgage calendar terms to match amortization payments instead of remortgaging at intervals, being at the mercy of fluctuating interest rates often the result of government mismanagement?

(And the Trudeau/Singh government spending more and more is making the situation worse)

UNFAIR PURSUIT

Re “Trudeau attempt at gun control so bad that it is shocking” (Brian Lilley, Dec. 14): I feel we should be denouncing the Trudeau government plan that would outlaw a variety of rifle and shotgun models used by farmers and hunters. Criminals who bring in illicit pistols from the United States commit the majority of shootings in Canada. This proposed legislation is misguided and does little to address that fact. Gun violence in this nation is not caused by law-abiding farmers and hunters. It is obvious that the Trudeau Liberals are unfairly pursuing them.

(They don’t care it will do nothing to address the real issue of illegal guns flowing in to our country)

TWITTER FILES

What I found shocking and frightful from Larry Elder’s column “Twitter Files: The real news is that the Left/Dems/media do not care,” published in the Toronto Sun, is the revelation that 83% of American voters don’t care either; and still would have voted for Biden as president with the knowledge of Hunter Biden’s corruption being exposed to them prior to the election. It makes a person wonder about the mentality of those voters that accept corruption as being okay. Now I am beginning to understand why evil and corruption is winning in today’s world!

(A lot of voters had had enough of Trump’s antics and wanted calm. Now look what they are stuck with)
