LOST AND FOUND: Man sought after gun left behind in Toronto establishment

An unidentified man is sought for allegedly leaving a gun behind after visiting an establishment in Greektown on New Year’s Day.

Toronto Police say a man was in the establishment near Danforth and Fenwick Aves. – west of Pape Ave. – just after 5:30 a.m. on Jan. 1.

“The man left a firearm inside the establishment before leaving the premise,” Const. Laura Brabant said in a statement issued Saturday.

Investigators have released images of a suspect and are hoping members of the public can help identify him.

The suspect is described as having a stocky or heavy build, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a black Canada Goose puffer jacket and a maroon Bape-style hooded sweatshirt at the time.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect’s identity or whereabouts is urged to call police at 416-808-5500 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
