In the final NFL regular-season weekend, there are a handful of teams still playing for postseason slots, including two "win and you're in" scenarios. This is it. It all comes down to the final regular-season weekend of the season.

Through 17 weeks, yours truly is four games below .500 here at FrontPageBets, picking against the spread, against the entire field. Straight up, I'm winning at a 63% clip. But, as we all know ... good teams win, great teams cover.

So with that, we head into Week 18 on a mission.





The play is mostly chalk. We're picking nine favorites to cover, with seven of them being home teams.

Those nine teams are a combined 72-67-3 (52%) against the spread, while the seven home teams are 38-33-2 (54%) ATS in their own stadium, including the Dallas Cowboys (6-3 at home) and the Cincinnati Bengals (5-1).



In an emotional week, our thoughts and prayers continue to be with Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin and his family. The news about Hamlin on Thursday was uplifting, as he's showing "remarkable improvement," according to the doctors at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.


It's a stark reminder that football is just a game. Life is so much more important and precious. It also was great to see the support that was shown for Hamlin across not only the NFL but nearly everywhere from so many people in and outside of the sport.


Here's hoping and praying Hamlin makes a full recovery.
