Gun, body armour seized following Brampton road-rage incident: Cops

Peel Regional Police have arrested a Brampton man after an alleged road-rage incident involving a firearm.

On Friday, police were called to the area of Williams Pkwy. and Fletchers Creek Blvd. for a weapons call.

A motorist told officers they had been involved in a brief altercation with another driver who produced a gun and threatened to kill them before fleeing the area.

No shots were fired and there were no injuries.

Police identified the vehicle and obtained search warrants for a Brampton residence.

A search of a vehicle uncovered an illegal loaded handgun, body armour and a number of illicit drugs, cops said.

Anthony Daley, 33, has been charged with point firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm, careless storage of a firearm, occupant of a motor vehicle knowing there was a firearm, possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm, tampering with serial number, possession for the purpose of trafficking, and utter threat to cause death or bodily harm.
