In photos: High school hoopsters hit the hardwood in Saskatoon city finals

St. Joseph Guardian girls earned a 68-59 victory over the Holy Cross Crusaders, while Crusader boys had 77-65 win over the Walter Murray Marauders.

Action was fast and furious on Saturday night, when the top high school hoopsters hit the hardwood at Bedford Road in the Saskatoon senior boys and girls city finals.

The St. Joseph Guardian girls made it back-to-back titles with a 68-59 victory over the Holy Cross Crusaders , and in the boys game, 10 of 11 players from last year’s Crusader city championship team got to celebrate again with a 77-65 win over the Walter Murray Marauders.

With the clock still ticking down but the ball in their possession in the final few seconds the St. Joseph Guardian girls knew they were about to win the city championship so the celebration started a little early.
