A number of individuals have been injured after a shooter opened hearth in a lecture corridor at a college in western Germany, native police have stated. The suspected shooter is lifeless.

The assault on the College of Heidelberg on Monday was launched by a single assailant, Mannheim police stated on Twitter.

Massive numbers of police forces and emergency staff are current on the scene.

An preliminary assertion by police stated: "Massive-scale deployment. A number of accidents.

"Police and rescue staff with robust forces on web site. We are going to maintain you up to date as quickly as extra particulars are identified."

The motive of the assault shouldn't be but identified.
