Couple and dog rescued via helicopter after being stranded in California cabin for two months


Two individuals who have been taking care of a cabin in a distant a part of California have been rescued this week after being snowed in for 2 months and dealing with a dwindling meals provide, officers stated Friday.


The unidentified couple referred to as the Sierra County Sheriff's Workplace on Tuesday morning, asking to be rescued from a cabin in a northwestern a part of the county, about two hours north of Sacramento.


The couple advised officers they have been stranded there after a winter storm in December left behind vital snowfall and fallen bushes, in line with a information launch.


The Sheriff's Workplace requested the freeway patrol to airlift the couple and their small canine.


"Because of the distant location and restricted entry resulting from winter situations, the California Freeway Patrol Air Operations have been contacted and a request for mutual help in rescuing the couple was made," the media launch stated.


The Sheriff's Workplace stated when the couple referred to as Tuesday they stated "they have been working low on meals."

CHP launched video exhibiting a helicopter flying close to the house and stated, "H-20 was capable of land close to the cabin, whereas very robust winds have been blowing."


The couple was then reunited with mates, officers stated.
