Ottawa asks court for injunction to stop noise, idling at protest

OTTAWA --
The Metropolis of Ottawa in the present day requested the Ontario Superior Court docket of Justice for an injunction in opposition to folks persevering with to violate metropolis bylaws throughout the ongoing protest within the metropolis by antigovernment demonstrators.


Metropolis solicitor David White says it's hoped the injunction will rein within the “widespread disregard” for the legislation by folks taking part in what police say is an unlawful demonstration.


Particularly town is in search of an injunction in opposition to noise, idling, fireworks, open air fires, encroachments on highways and unlawful use of parks and metropolis amenities.
