A former worker of Yale College pleaded responsible to buying greater than $40 million value of luxuries with cash that the varsity gave her to purchase electronics.
Jamie Petrone, a longtime worker of the Ivy League college, started ordering tablets underneath the varsity's title in 2013. From there, she would take the tablets and promote them to an undisclosed enterprise in New York state.
The cash from the transactions would then be wired to her, with Petrone garnering sufficient cash to buy luxurious automobiles and a number of other lavish estates. Authorities stated that the rip-off lasted for eight years earlier than she was caught.
Petrone faces as much as 30 years in jail and will probably be sentenced in June.
