Will Butler of Montreal rock group Arcade Fireplace says he is left the band.

Butler says in a sequence of tweets that he left on the finish of final yr when the teams' new album, "We," which can be launched Might 6, was full.

Butler says there was "no acute purpose" for his departure past that "I've modified -- and the band has modified -- during the last virtually 20 years."

He provides that it is time for brand new issues, and that the band "are nonetheless my family and friends."

Arcade Fireplace was co-founded by Butler's older brother and frontman, Win, twenty years in the past, and has obtained a number of awards for its albums, together with the 2011 Grammy for album of the yr.

Will Butler says in his tweets that he is engaged on a brand new report, reserving reveals for this summer time, and dealing on music for a David Adjmi play, in addition to different tasks.

This report by The Canadian Press was first revealed March 19, 2022.
