Consultant Eric Swalwell, a California Democrat, sarcastically joked about pictures of Consultant Madison Cawthorn, a North Carolina Republican, sporting lingerie in a Friday tweet.

Politico first reported the photographs on Friday, displaying Cawthorn showing to have a superb time whereas sipping a drink and surrounded by younger girls as he wears attractive lingerie. The information website reported that it obtained the photographs from "an individual previously near Cawthorn and his marketing campaign," with a second such individual confirming "the origin of the pictures."

After the pictures have been reported and started circulating on social media, Cawthorn responded dismissively.
