A Russian missile with the Russian lettering "For the youngsters" painted on its facet was photographed on the bottom within the aftermath of an assault on a railway station full of girls and kids in Ukraine's Kramatorsk on Friday.

The japanese metropolis of Kramatorsk, within the japanese Donbas area, was struck by two highly effective rockets. Ukrainian officers say at the very least 39 have been killed and greater than 100 have been wounded within the assault which President Volodymyr Zelensky stated intentionally focused civilians.

Newsweek has not been in a position to confirm who wrote the message on the missile in Russian lettering, or when it was written.

Pavlo Kyrylenko, the governor of the Donetsk area the place town is situated, tweeted that a Russian rocket included "cluster ammunition."

"1000's of civilians have been ready for evacuation there, dozens killed and injured," he wrote. "Russians knew precisely whom they have been focusing on."

The Kremlin has denied that it focused civilians.

"All statements by representatives of the Kyiv nationalist regime in regards to the 'rocket assault' allegedly carried out by Russia on April 8 on the railway station within the metropolis of Kramatorsk are a provocation and are completely unfaithful," the Russian protection ministry stated in assertion on Friday.

"We emphasize that Tochka-U tactical missiles, fragments of which have been discovered close to the Kramatorsk railway station and printed by eyewitnesses, are used solely by the Ukrainian armed forces," the ministry added.

Newsweek has contacted Russia's Ministry of International Affairs for remark.

The Prosecutor Basic's Workplace of Ukraine stated on the Telegram messaging service that on the time of the assault, folks have been being evacuated and there have been virtually 4,000 civilians on the station, most of them girls and kids.
