Traveller told TSA he had 'no idea' a sword was concealed in his cane

Somebody is not getting by means of safety.


Transportation Safety Administration officers at Boston's Logan Worldwide Airport found a protracted blade inside a traveller's cane on Tuesday.


The person mentioned he "had no thought the blade was in there," TSA spokesperson Dan Velez mentioned in a tweet. After being questioned by Massachusetts State Police, the person surrendered the cane and was cleared to proceed his travels.


It is not unusual for blades to be hid in seemingly odd objects.


On Thursday, a passenger tried to make it by means of airport safety with a dagger hid in a hairbrush deal with on the Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport, based on a tweet from TSA spokesperson Lisa Farbstein.


"Some carry-on objects could also be prohibited even when they seem to not be, like a cane with a hidden sword," the TSA says on its web site.
