The Kremlin has denied that it has any details about a reported Ukrainian strike on a Russian warship within the Black Sea.
Hypothesis has been rising on Friday over the destiny of the Admiral Makarov which Ukrainian MP Oleksiy Goncharenko stated on his Telegram account had been hit in a missile strike and burst into flames.
Russian forces despatched helicopters to rescue the crew of the ship, in response to Ukrainian information web site Dumskaya. The vessel was stated to have been crusing near Snake Island within the Black Sea.
Nevertheless, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov instructed reporters "we do not need such data" concerning the reported strike, RIA Novosti reported.
Commissioned in 2017, Admiral Makarov is a contemporary frigate loaded with guided missiles.
If the strike on the vessel is confirmed, it will be one other blow to Russia's Navy. Final month, the warship Moskva, the flagship of its Black Sea fleet, sank after a Ukrainian missile strike.
This can be a breaking story.
