A high Russian air power commander has reportedly been killed within the Ukraine struggle, delivering one other blow to Vladimir Putin's invasion.
Details about the reported taking pictures down of retired Russian Air Drive Main Basic Kanamat Botashev was confirmed to BBC Russian by three of his former subordinates.
On Sunday, Could 22, the Basic Workers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine mentioned a Russian Sukhoi (SU-25) assault plane was shot down over the Luhansk area and that the pilot didn't have time to eject.
Stories quickly appeared on Russian Telegram channels that Botashev was the pilot which have been backed up by the accounts of his former colleagues, whom the BBC mentioned needed to maintain their identities nameless.
Botashev was born in 1959 in Karachay-Cherkessia and graduated from the Yeysk Larger Army Aviation Institute and certified as a fighter-bomber. Botashev is the highest-ranking pilot whose loss of life has been reported, in line with the BBC.
