A frost advisory was issued for Airdrie and surrounding communities Monday evening.
"Frost anticipated over components of central Alberta in a single day tonight," Atmosphere Canada stated on its web site. "Many different localities will expertise a threat of frost.
"Cowl up crops, particularly these in frost-prone areas," it suggested.
The forecast for Calgary was windy and funky in a single day, with a projected low of three levels, with a threat of frost.
Among the many communities affected had been the next:
Mountain View Co. close to Carstairs and Stirlingville;
Mountain View Co. close to Cremona and Water Valley;
Mountain View Co. close to Olds and Didsbury;
Mountain View Co. close to Sundre;
Rocky View Co. close to Airdrie and Crossfield;
Rocky View Co. close to Bottrel and Madden; and
Rocky View Co. close to Cochrane
