One man is dead and another is in custody following an incident in Brampton on Wednesday morning.
Peel Regional Police were called to a rural home for a disturbance.
“At approximately 8:30 a.m. this morning there was a call for a disturbance near Wanless Dr. and Winston Churchill Blvd in Brampton,” Deputy Insp. Natalie Hiltz told media at the scene. “Officers arrived on scene and located an adult male outside the residence, and he was taken into custody.”
“A second male was located in the residence suffering from blunt force trauma,” she said. “Lifesaving efforts were commenced at the scene, but the male was pronounced deceased.”
Hiltz didn’t comment on the relationship between the two men.
She said this was an isolated incident and there is no suspect outstanding.
The investigation is ongoing.
