Oklahoma police on wolf call find cute puppy instead

It was a dog in wolf’s clothing.

Oklahoma police officers thought they were heading to a scene where a wolf had been spotted. However, the “wolf” that had panicked a local daycare turned out to be a dog.

“The big bad wolf? More like a cuddly puppy,” the Oklahoma City Police Department wrote on Facebook.

Apparently the dog had been reported missing by another nearby police department, according to PEOPLE.

While the dog was 85% wolf and 15% Alaskan Malamute, according to the Oklahoma City Police Department, it was not a threat to the public.

“Sgt. Stanley w/help from its owner was able to convince the very cordial Canis lupus to join him in his squad car and pose for selfies,” the department wrote in its Facebook post, alongside photos of the dog sitting in a squad car posing.

The dog was later reunited with its owner.
