Substitute gym teacher allegedly paid students to tackle each other

A substitute gym teacher in Louisiana allegedly went off script from the lesson plan.

Police from the Cado Parish Sheriff’s Office allege the teacher offered a number of students $5 each to tackle other students.

It happened at North Caddo Elementary-Middle School.

Police said three students agreed to tackle others during a Aug. 23 gym class and there is video of the incident.

Aadrina Smith, 24, was arrested Monday and booked into Caddo Correctional Center on five counts of contributing to the delinquency of juveniles and malfeasance in office, according to the New York Post.

Smith was also fired.

Police said the video showed the suspect sitting and watching the students and allegedly congratulating them afterward, even as one victim laid on the floor.
