Two charged as drugs, cash, Jeep, rifle seized: Dufferin OPP

Dufferin OPP have seized a quantity of cocaine and hit two men with drug-related charges.

On Wednesday, police executed two search warrants in Bolton and in Adjala-Tosorontio.

A person identified as a suspect in the investigation was also arrested in Orangeville.

As a result, police seized cocaine, $50,000, a vacuum sealer with bags, scale and packaging materials.

They also found a loaded .22-calibre rifle with a loaded magazine and ammunition, and a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 worth $70,000 was seized as proceeds of crime.

Corey Byer, 38, of Bolton, had been charged with traffick in schedule one substance — cocaine, possession of a schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime — over $5,000.

Ryan Croft, 39, from Adjala-Tosorontio, has been charged with careless storage of firearm, unauthorized possession of firearm, and possession of proceeds obtained by crime — over $5,000
