Oshawa health-care worker scratches way to $100Gs lotto win

An Oshawa man plans to hit the beach with his kids after winning $100,000 playing Instant Blackjack Casino.

Wayne Tomlinson, a 51-year-old health-care worker, says he has been playing scratch tickets for 15 years.

“I love playing Instant tickets. I’ve tried many of the Instant games over the years,” he said. “This is my first big win.”

Tomlinson was at the store when he found that he had won.

“I handed the ticket to the clerk in hopes for a $20 win and the lottery terminal shut down because it was a $100,000 prize. I was shocked.

“I went home to tell my kids and they were so excited for me once they believed I was telling them the truth,” he said.

The plan for his winnings includes “some fun in the sun.”

He added: “This win feels good. I’m still kind of in shock.”
