Two boys arrested in carjacking investigation, two more sought

Toronto police have arrested two boys in a carjacking robbery investigation and are looking for two more.

On Thursday, Dec. 15, police were called to a theft of vehicle call in the Hullmar Dr. and Jane St. area where a food delivery driver parked his vehicle to make a delivery.

As the driver left the vehicle to make the delivery he was approached by four boys wearing masks and one had a handgun and demanded the victim’s keys and wallet.

The boys took the victim’s keys and fled in the driver’s vehicle.

On Friday, Dec. 16, Peel police located the victim’s stolen vehicle with two boys inside and they were taken into custody.

Police alleged the boys in the stolen vehicle were responsible for the original carjacking robbery.

On Thursday, Dec. 29, police, executed two search warrants in connection with the investigation and during the searches, the two boys were found and placed under arrest.

Police said during the search items wanted of evidentiary value were located.

A boy, 17, of Oakville, was charged with robbery with firearm, disguise with intent, conspiracy to commit indictable offence, and fail to comply release order.

A boy, 15, of Brampton, was charged with robbery with firearm, disguise with intent, and conspiracy to commit indictable offence.

They can’t be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Two other boys haven’t been unidentified and both are described as Black, wearing dark clothing and are to be considered armed and dangerous.

The stolen victim’s vehicle has been recovered.
