A video of a man relieving himself on a TTC subway platform is going viral.
It happened on Dec. 27 at 2:54 p.m. at the Queen Station.
“I would hope rather than recording these incidents and embarrassing someone who may have been experiencing a serious medical condition, individuals would report this to our staff immediately,” said TTC spokesman Stuart Green.
“In cases like this, as soon as we become aware, we would immediately close off the area for a cleaning including washing and disinfecting the area.”
Many took to social media to comment.
“It is just 2 minute’s walk to the Eaton Center, which has plenty of public washrooms,” one person wrote.
“This should not happen on the TTC property or any public place in Toronto!” another wrote.
“There is no such thing as a normal trip anymore. Attendants should be walking around constantly, not only huddling by their former booths. Visibility is key as is keeping people moving,” Jason wrote.
