The building was vacant at the time of the fire. It was formerly the home of Village Green thrift shop.
Firefighters were called around 2 p.m. on Sunday and found a fire at the rear of the building that was possibly extending to the upper floor.
Crews shut off natural gas and Saskatoon Light and Power was called to shut down electrical service for safety. The building was vacant at the time, a previous release stated.
The fire was brought under control around 3 p.m.
Damages are estimated to be $30,000. Saskatoon police are investigating.
The storefront was previously the home of Village Green thrift shop. The store, now called Village Green MCC Thrift Shop, is now located at 60 33rd Street East.
