U.K. not ruling out sanctions against Russia's Putin

LONDON --
Britain will not be ruling out sanctions targetted at Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin in individual if Russia invades Ukraine, U.Ok. International Secretary Liz Truss stated on Wednesday.


U.S. President Joe Biden stated on Tuesday he would take into account private sanctions on Putin if Russia invades Ukraine, as Western leaders stepped up army preparations and made plans to protect Europe from a possible power provide shock.


Russia has massed greater than 100,000 troops round Ukraine and the West fears it could invade in an try and annex its former Soviet republic.


Requested about potential sanctions on Putin, Truss instructed Sky: "We're not ruling something out."


"We'll be bringing ahead new laws to make our sanctions regime harder so we're capable of goal extra corporations and people in Russia. We shall be bringing that ahead within the subsequent few days. I am not ruling that out."


Truss stated the UK was supplying defensive weapons to Ukraine.


Russia has repeatedly stated it has no intention of invading Ukraine, that it may well deploy troops wherever it needs by itself territory and that the West is gripped by Russophobia.
