A constructing positioned on Mayfair Avenue is being declared a whole loss after a fireplace broke out Saturday morning.
The Winnipeg Hearth Paramedic Service (WFPS) was referred to as to the 100 block of Mayfair Avenue round 2:20 a.m. for reviews of a two-storey condominium fireplace in a vacant constructing.
Town stated the hearth was well-involved when crews arrived on scene and there was heavy smoke.
Firefighters used ladders for an aerial assault because the constructing was deemed unsafe to go inside.
Town stated there was a number of fires at this location and the constructing was at an elevated threat of collapse.
Crews declared the hearth below management at 3:43 a.m., however are anticipated to stay on scene to take care of scorching spots.
