Police say a security officer has been hospitalized after a man was confronted for allegedly stealing from a “large store” inside a shopping mall in North York on Sunday morning.
Toronto Police were called to the Lawrence Allen Centre, on Lawrence Ave. W. near Allen Rd., where a man was allegedly caught stealing.
Cops say the man was confronted by staff, at which point the suspect allegedly assaulted security and fled the scene.
A security officer were being treated for unspecified injuries and police are investigating.
