The Truck Guy Podcast: Rebelle for Life

If, like us, you live life in four-wheel-drive while brushing your teeth with rough-cut pine lumber, you’ll want to listen to The Truck Guy podcast, brand-new here at Driving. The Truck Guy podcast is presented by Driving.ca’s Matthew Guy, who will host a new expert guest every episode to talk about pickup trucks and 4x4s. Ride shotgun and explore truck-related topics ranging from towing and overlanding; to the latest models and their hot new features.

In this episode we’re going to be talking with Kristin Shaw, an accomplished racer and freelance writer who’s getting ready to compete in the tougher-than-nails Rebelle Rally. That’s an eight-day event in which teams of two drivers will compete over 2,000 kilometres in a test of driving skill, old-school navigation, and the ability to wheel in some of the toughest off-road conditions in Nevada and California.

We’re glad to have her on the show as breaks down what it takes to be successful in such an event and what her team will be driving in the desert, plus she gives us the inside scoop on jumping behind the wheel of a ’67 Kaiser Jeep military ambulance and wheeling it over the rocky landscape of Moab, Utah.

Beds aren’t just for sleeping — they’re for hauling dirt, towing trailers, and just about any other work or recreation task you can think of. The Truck Guy podcast is available free on Apple Music, Spotify, or wherever you download your favourite audio programs.
