Just three weeks removed from their Christmas Eve game, the New York Giants and Minnesota Vikings will face-off in the first round of the NFL playoffs Sunday afternoon.
The Vikings beat the Giants, 27-24, at home on Greg Joseph’s last-second 61-yard field goal. That game, New York was 4.5-point underdogs.
In this Sunday's wild card matchup, which kicks off at 4:30 p.m. from Minneapolis, the six-seeded Giants are 3-point dogs to the No. 3-seed Vikings.
New York is in the playoffs for the first time since 2016 and only the second time since 2011, when they beat the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI.
This is Minnesota’s first time back to the postseason since 2019.

Let’s get this out of the way first: The Giants are an NFL-best 13-4 against the spread; and in 12 out of 17 games they’ve been the underdog.
However, in three of the four games they lost ATS, the spread was 3 points or less.
The Vikings are 7-9-1 against the spread and 6-5-1 as favorites.
What’s the difference? Home-field advantage.
Minnesota is 8-1 at home this season, and 6-3 against the spread.
The Giants are rested, sitting their starters last week in the season-finale, but the Vikings have the talent across the board offensively to cover.

Indoors at Minnesota’s U.S. Bank Stadium, look for both teams to score points. Their Dec. 24 game in the same venue totaled 51.
The Giants averaged 21.5 points per game during the regular season, while the Vikings were in the top-10 in scoring with 24.9 per.
In their last five games, New York scored 24 per outing and Minnesota averaged 27.
At home, the Vikings are scoring 29.6 per game.
Giants QB Daniel Jones over 1.5 touchdown passes (+100)
New York quarterback Daniel Jones has five multi-touchdown games this season, including throwing two TDs against the Indianapolis Colts two weeks ago, which was his final start of the regular season.
After sitting out last week to rest up for the playoffs, Jones enters Sunday’s game with 15 total touchdown passes, including throwing at least one in seven out of his last eight starts.
Against the Vikings three weeks ago, Jones threw for 335 yards. While he only tossed one TD that game, he did complete 71.4% of his passes.
As one of the top-four rushing teams in the NFL, the Giants will have to be able to throw the ball effectively to hang with the high-powered Vikings offense – which New York can do against a defense that is second-to-last against the pass this season.
